Free yourself with therapeutic writing.
ABOUT THE WRITE TIME
We facilitate one-on-one and group workshops to help people learn about therapeutic writing and give it a try. Also known as expressive writing or therapeutic journaling, therapeutic writing “has been found to help people work through trauma or emotional upheavals and improve their mental health, physical health, sleeping habits, and work efficiency.” (Pennebaker & Evans 2014)

THE THERAPEUTIC WRITING EXPERIENCE
What People Are Saying

JOHN F. EVANS, CO-AUTHOR, EXPRESSIVE WRITING: WORDS THAT HEAL
Writing has helped me deal with my own health challenges including PTSD, a diagnosis of advanced cancer, and a … cancer recurrence … Learning about personal and expressive writing helped me regain my health and live a more happy and productive life.”

KAREN A. BAIKIE AND KAY WILHELM, "EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH BENEFITS OF EXPRESSIVE WRITING," JANUARY 2018
“Writing about traumatic, stressful or emotional events has been found to result in improvements in both physical and psychological health, in non-clinical and clinical populations. In the expressive writing paradigm, participants are asked to write about such events for 15–20 minutes on 3–5 occasions. Those who do so generally have significantly better physical and psychological outcomes compared with those who write about neutral topics.”
LET US HELP YOU MAKE THE TIME
You can try expressive writing on your own, but research is required in order to learn what it involves. Some people find it difficult to make time for this — and for the writing itself. That’s where we come in. We’ve done the research and know how to make time to write.
Booking our workshops helps you carve out the time you need to learn about therapeutic writing and actually do it.
The Write Time offers over 17 years of professional writing experience, 23 years of meditation experience, and the understanding that comes from dealing with our own traumas and struggles — alone and with the help of therapists.

DISCLAIMER
We offer our services as facilitators. Not therapists. Our facilitators are not trained therapists and don’t pretend to know how to offer help as therapists. The Write Time simply knows how to write, the challenges of writing, what therapeutic or expressive writing is, and how to help other people give therapeutic writing a try to see if they find it helpful.
